Every movement begins with a conviction.
We believe every person is created in the image and likeness of God, uniquely gifted, deeply loved, and called to become the person God created them to be.
Yet fear, wounded relationships, unhealthy patterns, and unhealthy family or organizational cultures can keep people from living with freedom and purpose.
Human Formation Coalition was founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to respond—not simply through leadership training or consulting, but by accompanying people on the lifelong journey of authentic human formation. We Help People Grow and Flourish.

Where It Began
Our story began in 2015 with a simple observation by two successful Catholic entrepreneurs and Legatus members: the greatest challenges facing the Church and our organizations are rarely technical. They are deeply human.
Healthy parishes require healthy pastors.
Healthy colleges require healthy leaders and boards.
Healthy businesses require healthy leaders.
Healthy families require healthy husbands, wives, mothers, and fathers.
Behind every thriving mission, organization, and family are people who are continually becoming more fully themselves.
That conviction led them to cofound Human Formation Coalition in 2017. Since our founding, coaches trained and equipped through our work have served more than 700 Catholic priests and 10,000 lay people.
Inspired by the Church
The Catholic Church has always understood that formation is about far more than acquiring knowledge or skills.
The U.S. Bishops’ Program for Priestly Formation Edition 6 describes human formation as the foundation upon which every other dimension of formation is built.
We embraced that vision and expanded it beyond seminaries.
Today, we serve priests, seminarians, religious, Catholic leaders, executives, educators, nonprofit leaders, parents, spouses, individuals, and organizations seeking healthier, people, lives, families, and organizations.
Our Journey
Human Formation Coalition has grown into the largest Catholic 501 (c) (3) coaching agency in North America, that uses a coaching approach deeply aligned with the U.S. Bishops’ vision for Catholic human formation.
Along the way, we developed an integrated Human Formation Framework that brings together proven methodologies for lasting transformation.
Human Formation is our “native language”—that makes our work authentically Catholic and profoundly unique.
